RASTA
Augmented Reality and Automated Story-Telling for Cultural Heritage and Turistic Itineraries

The Project
how we work
Italian Partnership
The project was born from the collaboration between universities, research centers and companies on Italian soil
Different case studies
The project has 6 different case studies which will allow testing the technologies developed in the most varied contexts
National Research Program (PNR) 2015-2020
The programme aims to support research and development projects in various fields, including science, technology, health and the environment.

OUR OBJECTIVES
The aim of the RASTA project is to define a framework for the valorization of the territory and cultural heritage through the use of adaptive visit itineraries in virtual and augmented reality with intelligent storytelling for the personalization of the narration through sophisticated recommendation systems and user profiling. The technologies that will be developed are:
- Representation models and advanced techniques for the reconstruction of 3D sites, scenarios and objects accessible through various devices
- Immersive video mapping for the creation of immersive personal and group virtual and augmented reality environments
- Methodologies and techniques for semantic annotation and archiving of digital content, in line with national and European standards
- Methodologies for automated storytelling, through semantic correlation and logical inference techniques
- User profiling methodologies based on sentiment analysis and user behavior analysis and learning
- Recommendation system based on semantic profiling, contents analyzer, classification of Points of Interest and IoT sensors with the aim of calculating ad hoc tourist routes.
